Pasta carbonara a fast and easy dish to make
Pasta carbonara
Pasta carbonara is an incredibly fast and easy dish to make. It tastes really good, but is certainly not a low calorie dish. There is no reason to buy packaged mixed sauces to make this dish. You actually make the sauce quicker from scratch. In addition, it tastes tremendously much better. Here you have a dining suggestion for two people, and a dinner ready in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
250 g linguine, spaghetti or tagliatelle (approximately 125-150 g per. person)
1 egg
1 egg yolk
About 1.5 dl single cream
150 g of bacon (Omitted for a vegetarian version)
Parmesan
Parsley
Salt
Pepper
Pasta carbonara directions:
- Start by cutting the bacon into small cubes and fry them brown or until crisp. Set aside. Finely chop the parsley and set aside.
- Add eggs and egg yolk in a measuring jug. Fill with cream until you have 2 dl of sauce. Then add a little salt and pepper. Whisk well until everything is well blended. Warm the sauce lightly in microwave or in a saucepan. It should just get to finger temperature. I.e. you should be able feel with your fingers without burning yourself. If you put too much heat at this stage, you get scrambled eggs. NB! You should wait to warm the sauce until the last minute before the past is ready.
- Boil the pasta as directed on package, or 2-3 minutes if using fresh pasta. Pour the pasta into a colander, and then back into the pan.
- Pour over the preheat sauce and mix until everything is well blended and the sauce has coated the pasta. Place the pasta in serving bowls as quickly as possible.
Pasta carbonara served: Sprinkle with the bacon, parsley and some grated parmesan.
Allergy: Not gluten or lactose free. Easy made gluten free by using gluten-free pasta. Also easy to make lactose free by using lactose-free cream. High on FODMAP. The contents of FODMAP made low by making the dish both gluten- and lactose free.
